What is Veterinary Pet Insurance?

Veterinary Pet Insurance provides health and accident insurance for cats, dogs, birds and a variety of exotic pets. In addition, pet insurance provides both protection for a pet and peace of mind for a pet owner. Pet owners don’t want finances to get in the way of giving their pet the care it needs. Just like with any other family member they want what is best for the pet and Veterinary Pet Insurance is there to help.

VPI policies average $18 to $28 per month with a $50 deduction per incident. The cost varies by species, age and state. These policies cover thousands of major medical conditions including cancer. Additionally, the pet owner is free to visit any licensed veterinarian worldwide.

The Pet WellCare Protection rider is also available for an additional monthly fee and offers benefits toward routine treatments and procedures including a physical exam, flea and heartworm treatment and medication, vaccinations, spray/neuter, dental cleaning, blood screening, and much more. Plans vary by state.
